...We are drawn to the life and teachings of Jesus.  We are Christian.  We try to follow Jesus in the Way of Love and through Love we see and experience God.  We are of the Presbyterian denomination of Christian followers.  While at one time great stock was put upon denominations, those distinctions matter much less today.  We strive to be a Presbyterian Church that is truly a Community Church.

We invite you to join in this community as we follow Jesus, hoping to create something beautiful in this world, through Love.

At UPC we embrace a strong sense of community in lots of ways:

  1. Within UPC there are numerous & varied activities going on throughout the year, which always come with an open invitation to all who are interested.  You’ll find some of these activities right here on this page.  Other activities include:  Spiritual retreats, dinners, outings for children and youth, choir, men’s breakfasts, our Care Network.

  1. Beyond our walls UPC  also invites in our neighbours who live in our broader community:  Thursday evening community activities, Friday morning Mandarin speaking seniors group (CEHHC), children’s PA days & summer camps, and a community garden project.

  1. UPC provides welcoming rental space for numerous community groups and their activities, throughout the year, some of which are:

The Suburbanaires men’s choral group, Village Voices community choir, adult line dancing, school concerts/year-end celebrations, community support groups, Pedalheads bicycle camp for children.

Everything that’s going on at UPC can be found by clicking on the “calendar of events” icon at the top of this page, or please contact us at any time for information:   upcadmin@rogers.com

Welcome        Worship Service        Minister’s Message        About Us        Helping Others        Find UPC        Photo Album

At UPC we embrace:

  1. Community:  Building strong relationships of support, encouragement, care, laughter and love.

  1. Spiritual Practices:  Our worship services help us to define who we are as followers of Jesus.  Each worship service is a spiritual practice.  We are then encouraged to live out the spiritual practices of hospitality, justice, generosity, prayer and kindness among all those we meet in our day to day lives.

  1.   The Bible:  We interpret the Bible using the themes found in Bible as a whole.  More importantly, the Bible comes alive for us when we see it in the context of the life and ministry of Jesus.

  1.    Our Inclusive Stance:  God loves all people -- no exceptions.  Whether your faith is weak or strong, whether you are a ‘believer’, a ‘non-believer’, a seeker -- none of that matters to us.  We just believe God loves you.  Whether you are ‘straight’ or ‘gay’ -- none of that matters to us.  We just believe God loves you.  Whether you define as ‘male’ or ‘female’ or ‘transgendered’ -- none of that matters to us.  We just believe God loves you.  Whether you are old or young, rich or poor -- none of that matters to us.  We just believe God loves you.  Whether you are in the majority or in the minority -- none of that matters to us.  We just believe God loves you.  And we believe that we are called to love one another.
